Refined Grains
'During World War II Denmark stopped refining flour, an action which was not accompanied by any other marked changes in living habits. Later it was found that the death rate had dropped and that there had been a marked decline in cancer, heart disease, diabetes, kidney trouble, and high blood pressure.' (Carl C. We can appreciate why this took place only when we understand that when whole wheat is refined into white flour, 83% of the nutrients are discarded. Clearly, therefore, food refining is a major contributor to many of the serious ills of our age.
Of all the creatures on this planet, man and his pets are the most sickly - by far. One major reason why this is so is because wild animals eat their food just as Mother Nature presents it to them. Man, however, has become obsessed with taking apart what God saw fit to put together - and this act of "taking apart" or "refining" is always in the interests of the producer (shelf-life, mouth-feel, profit) and never in the better interests of the end-user.
White rice, for example, is brown rice that has had its mineral-rich, nutrient-rich, fiber-rich outer layers removed in the name of a brand of folly that is passionately dubbed as “food-science."
Because we use such denatured foods, our appetites are never truly satisfied, our systems are undernourished, we lack energy, and we will usually have a problem with constipation.
Get back to using brown rice and whole grain products and marvel at how much better and more energetic you will feel, and be amazed at how your bowels will soon start to function effortlessly and naturally.
